Testimonials

Caroline is a remarkable teacher. I have had the privilege of studying privately with her in addition to taking her studio classes, and my practice has changed immeasurably as a result. Caroline possesses, in my eyes, a combination of qualities that make her a wonderful yoga teacher and a truly lovely person. She is smart, patient, joyful and warm. Her focus on alignment and the integrity of each pose is second-to-none. She creates a safe and supportive environment. She provides guidance and suggestions even as she asks us to reach deep within ourselves to find the strength and wisdom inherent in our own bodies. I am truly grateful to have Caroline as a teacher and fellow traveler on my yoga journey!

I’ve been taking Caroline’s classes in Rochester for several months now, and I really appreciate her dedication and attention to each student. She has a very nurturing, accepting, and positive energy that is just contagious! I always feel happier and more at peace after her classes.

I have been attending Caroline’s classes for about a year. She teaches an intense but simultaneously focused and calming vinyasa flow, always building naturally from one asana to the next with as much attentiveness to transition as to alignment and breath. She is incredibly knowledgeable, which takes the form of an almost intuitive ability to guide and encourage students at all levels. She brings to the studio a love and respect for others and for yoga itself that is truly valuable in my practice and in my life.

I love Caroline’s classes and would absolutely recommend them to anyone. I’ve been actively seeking out her classes (and disappointed when I can’t fit them into my schedule) for over a year now.  She is a caring, attentive, and thoughtful teacher who challenges her students while providing them with the support they need to rise to that challenge, even if it means only trying a difficult pose.

I’m not sure which has a greater impact on me, Caroline’s ability to impart knowledge or her deep love and reverence for the practice, but both of these qualities have created a profoundly wonderful teacher!

Caroline has a unique ability as a teacher to key in to each student’s needs, whether you are new to yoga or an advanced practitioner. She brings to her yoga practice the much needed enthusiasm and vivacity that other yoga instructors may not bring to class. I admire the finesse in her poses, as she leads her students to move through their yoga journey with calamity, confidence, and grace. I congratulate Caroline, as a teacher and a friend, for her achievements at the White Lotus Foundation and wish her the best in her future yoga practice!

This morning I was reading an old friend’s blog, Caroline O’Dwyer. As a high school student she worked and practiced at Yoga for Everybody, finding her way through the trials and tribulations of high school. She is now a college graduate, an accomplished yogi and yoga teacher, with a strong and inspiring practice. She really got me thinking about my home practice and how challenging it is to keep going, but also reminded me of the lessons it has brought to me in my life… Caroline suggested to go outside and practice, something I do all the time, but for some reason had not done yet this year despite the warm weather we have been having for quite some time… So I went and grabbed my “outside” mat out of the car and walked across the street to the park. I found my one sweet spot under the trees next to the pond that is relatively flat and soft… I began just by sitting there and taking in the beauty all around me – the bright green leaves of the trees, the shimmering water… I looked straight up between the tops of two trees to see the crescent moon still hanging lazily in the sky – I knew today was going to be a good day…

I came to Caroline’s yoga class because of rave reviews from multiple  friends of mine. The class had some big shoes to fill and did not disappoint. Caroline brought us through a wonderful series of poses with just the right balance of heart pumping and relaxing postures. She has a way of making the class flow and feel very natural. She challenged me but always offered a simplified pose and time to rest when I needed it. I would most definitely recommend her classes! Oh, and the adjustments she does are to die for!

Molly Harrison, RN – Berlin, Connecticut

As a novice yoga student I really appreciated Caroline’s style of teaching. She was patient and always considerate of the different levels of ability that the students had in her classes. Many of my friends had practiced before and I found that her practice left all of us feeling relaxed, stretched and satisfied. She always made sure that those who were still learning felt comfortable, but also provided options to intensify certain poses for those who wanted more of a challenge. She really placed and emphasis on setting personal goals for each practice; taking a brief moment at the beginning of each class to set a small goal and to really be mindful of it throughout the class enhanced my experience and helped me feel connected and conscious. I hope to find a teacher with her patience and grace in my new neighborhood.

Caroline’s class was my weekly haven at school. It was both relaxing and a great workout. Caroline’s effort to create an accepting, positive environment was always evident, and her class gave me the confidence and knowledge to continue the practice that has become so important to me.
